Introductory MRI Course for Non-Members (Registration OPEN)
Non-members are welcome to attend the Introduction to MRI Course, taking place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th April 2026 at the National Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM), Loughborough University.
This well-established course is suitable for Diagnostic, Therapeutic and veterinary MRI staff who are new to MRI, as well as more experienced practitioners seeking a structured refresher. Teaching is delivered by experienced MR radiographers and MR physicists, combining clear theoretical instruction with practical, clinically relevant learning.

MRI simulator parameter manipulation
Contrast agents
MRI physics – how it works and pulse sequences
Artefacts
MRI safety
Fat saturation imaging
MSK imaging
Neuro imaging
Knee imaging
Lumbar spine imaging
The course provides a strong foundation in MRI principles and supports the development of safe, confident clinical practice. Attendance contributes towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with certificates provided on completion.
