Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how the British Association of MR Radiographers (BAMRR) collects and uses your personal information.
BAMRR is committed to protecting your personal information when you use the BAMRR website and/or join as a member. This policy was agreed in July 2018 and has been updated in April2020, further updates will happen periodically.
Data that BAMRR collect:
When you join as a member, we collect the information that you provide on the subscription form, your name, contact address, job role and email address.
When you book onto a BAMRR event, we collect the information that you provide which includes your name, contact address, job role, email address, how long you have worked in MRI and the details of where the invoice should be sent to. This may include a manager name and email address. All of this information will have been provided by yourself or a manager/colleague on your behalf to enable you to attend a BAMRR course.
The BAMRR website (https://www.BAMRR.org) contains links to third party sites which are used at your own risk and which are subject to their own privacy policies, BAMRR is not liable for their privacy practices concerning your data.
How does BAMRR use your data?:
When you join as a member, the details that you provided are kept on an excel spread sheet by the BAMRR Membership Secretary. The information is also kept on the BAMRR website, your data is only accessible by members of the BAMRR Policy Board.
BAMRR uses your data to provide you with information regarding upcoming BAMRR courses and conferences via email. We may sometimes send out emails advertising courses or conferences from third parties if we think they are relevant to our members. We also use your email address to send you a copy of the BAMRR Newsletter.
The information you have provided is used to send you information regarding the BAMRR course/conference that you have applied to attend and to follow up for invoice payment.
BAMRR will not send you any other information other than that mentioned above.
Sharing your information with others:
BAMRR will never share your full data with any third party organisation without your express consent. We will share your name and site of work with the sponsors of the BAMRR conference if they request the information for their records. We will not share your email address, home address or any contact numbers with the conference sponsors.
Your right to control your information:
You have the right to limit the collection and use of your data, request a copy of the data that BAMRR holds about you and have any inaccuracies corrected. BAMRR will request proof of identity from you to action any data requests, correct inaccuracies or erase information.
We will hold the information that you have provided to BAMRR on the website and excel spread sheet whilst you are a member of BAMRR. If your membership expires, BAMRR will keep your basic record on file but will not contact you again unless your membership is renewed.
The data controller for your information is the BAMRR Membership Secretary. If you wish to change your contact preferences then you can do so by contacting the Membership Secretary via the details on the website at http://bamrr.org/about-us/policy-board.
How do BAMRR protect your information?:
BAMRR will not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties for any purpose. We have put in reasonable safeguards to protect your data.
We will keep your information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, we will not keep more information than is required.
The data held on the BAMRR website is hosted by Copperbay who conform to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.
All BAMRR policy board members with access to your personal data are contractually required to process it in accordance with GDPR 2018 guidelines.
Consent and lawful processing of personal data:
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is based on consent. This is taken from the completion of the subscription form to become a BAMRR member and/or the completion of registration for a course or conference. This information is necessary to enable BAMRR to fulfill the processes that are required for the agreement that you are entering into with us.
